Great
Let customers speak for us
from 565 reviewsI love that you do not have to rack the slide each time you want to fire. The laser is also adjustable to your pistols actual point of impact at any distance. Combined, these two features make Cool Fire the closest to actual range training.
I think the product is great. High quality, just a bit higher priced than I think it should be.
Very “cool” system! I really like the combined system with the Mantis X10.
Works great! Was a little too short for my TTI Combat, however. But customer service was quick to get me a longer barrel.
Do you make a barrel for the Beretta 80X Cheetah
Love the product. So different from other dry fire I have. CoolFire trainer makes it more realistic. Highly recommended.
After using the pistol version of the Coolfire Trainer, I had high expectations for the Sidekick, so I got one and am very happy with it. Coolfire customer support told me that the "Custom" version should work with both Mil Spec and modern ARs, so I got that version. At this point, all I can say is that is works perfectly on my classic Colt AR. I have a Wolfpack Armory AR arriving in a few weeks, and I look forward to trying it out on that when it gets here.
I did not see any way to "zero" the laser on the Sidekick. My shots were hitting just a little bit to the left. After pondering the situation for a bit, I came up with a solution by 3D printing a set of very thin precision spacers. You can check it out on Makerworld by searching for "coolfire".
These guys went above and beyond for my Wife's last minute Christmas present. Mainly because as a 'man' I can not read a calendar.
She was thrilled! Great product, Awesome service
Once ypu get it all figured out it's great. The bottle temp makes a difference. Buy a coffee cup warmer. That makes it easy. 15 minutes on to bump it from 72 to 90. I then install mine in a vertical rack in the garage and let it cool to 86 then ready to roll. Also, the striker tip damage makes a difference too. The newer the tip the better the performance. The rapidity of your shots will also impact performance. Bill Drills as example is too much, making the unit get too cold and thus Impact performance. My best practice now is regular dry fire work with my DryFireMag as the cup warmer heats the bottle. Due all or most of my rapid fire Bill Drill, Casino Royale, higher round counts with that, then install the Cool Fire, maybe do a BD or one CR drill but mainly work the lesser rapid fire drills with the CF. Best range of operations is 75 to 85 degree bottle. Fresher tips, slower rates of fire. All in all a great add to my dry work and much more realistic. The lazer and the associated reflective targets are dope as being able to see your DF shot hits is of high value. I did speak to the customer service team about ths tips as they claim 300 to 500 hits on average and that was not my experience with the first 2, so they say they were going to send me a few different ones to see if that solved it. I am OEM Glock 23. I did see a review that stated similar performance issues and installing a lighter striker spring helps but who wants to do that, plus it's my EDC.
I do love the unit in spite of a couple of short comings.
This system is everything I wanted for training at home. Safe, consistent, repeatable and trackable. No permanent modifications to my handgun and a consistent performance.
Great Product.
