The 1911 is a semi-automatic pistol that originated in the late 1890s. Designed by John Browning, it was primarily used by the
United States Armed Forces in WWI, WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
Modern 1911 variants are still used in the U.S. Military today.
